About Lucca
Just a 10-minute drive from our wedding venue sits the beautiful Tuscan town of Lucca - a hidden gem wrapped inside a perfectly preserved 5-kilometre ring of Renaissance-era walls. Inside those walls you’ll find cobbled streets, charming piazzas, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes wandering feel like a mini holiday in itself.
We highly recommend staying a night before or after the wedding to soak up the town’s character, enjoy a leisurely aperitivo, and explore at your own pace. And for the runners among you… Lucca even has its very own parkrun!
How to get there
Flights
The closest airport to the wedding venue is Pisa International Airport, about a 40-minute drive to Lucca. There are convenient EasyJet flights from Bristol, Birmingham, Gatwick, and Heathrow.
Alternatively, you can fly into Florence Airport, which is roughly a 55-minute drive from the venue, with flights available from Gatwick and Heathrow.
Public Transport
Travelling by public transport is straightforward and scenic.
From Pisa Airport, take the PisaMover shuttle into central Pisa, then hop on a regional train to Lucca - the journey takes about 30 minutes, with departures roughly every half hour.
If arriving via Florence, regular trains also connect the city centre to Lucca.
Once in Lucca, a taxi ride to the venue takes around 15 minutes.
There’s also a smaller station closer to the venue - Ponte a Moriano railway station - about a 30-minute walk away. It’s just a 5-minute drive from the venue, so lift arrangements may be possible if needed.
